The week started off with a New Year's celebration, a slight variation on a favorite tradition of ours as we gathered at the home of friends and ushered in 2012 with board games, Guitar Hero, and champagne. We flipped over to Dick Clark's countdown, and at 11:59:20 (give or take a few seconds), the Goose started to cry and scream from her playyard in the basement. After a momentary consultation, Josh ran down to fetch the kid, tucking her under his arm like a football, arriving back in the room just as the clock hit 12:00:00. Just a minute or two later, we took our first family photo of 2012.
Can you tell the Goose is a bit out of sorts?
Just a few other photos from the week.
Tuesday morning, Michal and I sat down for breakfast - yogurt for her, a bagel for me. As I tried to convince her to eat the yogurt, she made it abundantly clear that she'd rather have the bagel. When I put her off for a minute or two, this was her reaction.
She really loves bagels. A lot.
Yum!
Michal LOVES helping me pick out a packet of dishwashing soap. Who knew how much she'd ADORE helping to restock the canister. If I let her, the canister would be filled to overflowing, but she seemed to love the work, as you can tell from the video below. Forgive the obnoxious barking dog in the background.

And a video clip! Score. :) I took a page out of your book for this coming year if you're interested. http://elinor365.blogspot.com.
